Energy-Efficient Centrifugal Fan Series | XFGW-WY and XFYW-WY Series Centrifugal Fans


01 

Application 

      XFGW-WY and XFYW-WY series ventilators are suitable for supply and induced draft systems in thermal power plants with capacities ranging from 2 to 670 t/h. They also meet the high-pressure head performance requirements for fluidized beds. This series of ventilators can also be used for dust removal, mine ventilation, and general ventilation systems. Supply fans convey air, while exhaust fans handle flue gas or particulate-laden gases. Service life exceeds four years when particulate concentration is below 200mg/m³. Operation with higher particulate loads is possible but reduces service life. Maximum operating temperature must not exceed 250°C.

 Structural Features  

      Both supply and exhaust fans feature a single-inlet design. Available in 40 specifications across 20 sizes from No. 8 to No. 29.5. Each fan type can be manufactured in either left-hand or right-hand rotation. The fan outlet position is indicated by the housing's outlet angle. The fan transmission adopts the D-type (cantilever structure), with the motor connected to the fan via an elastic coupling for direct drive. This series incorporates advanced technologies such as high-strength wear-resistant impellers, leak-proof bearing housings, and articulated axial adjustment dampers. It offers a wide range of high-efficiency operating conditions, with closely spaced fan sizes facilitating easy selection of the optimal efficiency point. An adjustable inlet is employed. High-strength wear-resistant impellers significantly extend fan service life. Overlapping oil-throwing rings ensure leak-free operation with excellent dust resistance. Hinge bearings at the pivot points of the damper guide vanes and adjustment rods eliminate "dead spots" during operation and adjustment, enabling flexible, effortless, safe, and reliable operation while preventing overloading of the actuator.      For models below 16D, the drive assembly, coupling guard, and motor are factory-assembled onto a single base. The casing, inlet, and damper form a separate assembly. Smaller models ship as two assemblies; larger models are disassembled into multiple components for transport and installation. The cantilevered structure facilitates flexible placement.      Direct motor coupling ensures uniform torque transmission, minimizes vibration, and guarantees reliable operation. Installation and maintenance are straightforward. The fan features two complete base-housings with drive assemblies. The housing has either a center split or vertical split for exceptionally easy disassembly. The rotor can be vertically hoisted out; axial disassembly is also possible when replacing only the impeller.

Performance and Selection


The performance of a fan is characterized by parameters such as airflow, total pressure, shaft speed, shaft power, and efficiency. The performance values in the selection curve and performance table are calculated for air medium at t=20°C, atmospheric pressure Pa=101325Pa, and gas density ρ=1.2kg/m³. The performance of exhaust fans is calculated for air medium at gas temperature t=200°C, atmospheric pressure Pa=101325Pa, and gas density ρ=0.745kg/m³.     When starting formal operation after new fan installation, or when excessive or insufficient flow occurs during operation, employ one of the following methods to correct it: 

① Adjust flow by opening or closing the regulating damper.

 ② Adjust flow by increasing or decreasing fan rotational speed.  

   ③ Replace the fan with one rated for higher or lower pressure to increase or decrease flow. 

    ④ Modify the pipeline network's resistance coefficient K to alter flow. If flow remains insufficient even with the regulating damper fully open, consider: - Modifying the pipeline network to reduce resistance coefficient K and increase flow; - Increasing fan speed or replacing with a higher-pressure fan (provided speed does not exceed the maximum specified in the performance table).
