As a common type of industrial ventilation equipment, high-pressure centrifugal fans are widely used in modern industrial production. With technological advancements, the performance of high-pressure centrifugal fans has become highly reliable and efficient, enabling them to function effectively in various climatic conditions. However, as a user, it is also necessary to take appropriate measures to protect against rain, sunlight and wind. Below, we will share some insights regarding the protection of high-pressure centrifugal fans against rain, sunlight and wind. In fact, to enhance performance in this area, one can address aspects such as design philosophy, raw material control, manufacturing processes and the installation of auxiliary equipment. This will help maximise the rain and sun protection capabilities of high-pressure centrifugal fan equipment. For example, when manufacturing high-pressure centrifugal fans, if adequate heat dissipation conditions are provided for the motor, we can install a galvanised sheet rain cover. This not only ensures the motor’s sealing integrity and reduces damage caused by rain and high temperatures, but also acts as a buffer against external impacts. We can also install drain valves at the lowest points of the high-pressure centrifugal fan casing; this ensures that any rainwater that enters is promptly drained out under the force of gravity, keeping the fan casing dry. Additionally, a comprehensive protective cover can be fitted over the bearings and belts to prevent rainwater or high temperatures from corroding the fan’s working components. Furthermore, depending on specific application requirements, aluminium shaft seals, mechanical seals, carbon ring seals or inert gas seals may be employed to seal the contact between the main shaft and the high-pressure centrifugal fan casing. During routine operation, should rain occur, the unit should be left to dry naturally in a shaded area to extend the service life of the high-pressure centrifugal fan.
