Firstly, determine the required performance of the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan and locate the corresponding pressure-flow curve. If the wrong curve is selected, the chosen product may not be suitable for the application. Based on the calculated pressure and flow rate, locate the corresponding points on the curve at the operating point. Next, select the model of the high-pressure centrifugal fan based on the operating curve. Corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans are suitable for various applications requiring high static pressure. It is important to note that output, air volume and pressure are the technical parameters of corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans. Corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans have three main technical parameters; the following eight points should be noted: 1. Before selecting a high-pressure centrifugal fan, it is essential to understand the domestic production and product quality of corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans, the types and specifications of various products, their special applications, and the development and promotion of new products. Furthermore, environmental protection requirements must be fully considered when selecting a suitable fan. 2. Select corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans for specific purposes based on the physical and chemical properties of the various gases they are designed to convey. When conveying explosive or flammable gases, explosion-proof fans must be selected. You must select fans designed for dust extraction or the handling of fine powders. When conveying corrosive gases, corrosion-resistant high-pressure centrifugal fans must be used. When operating in high-temperature environments or conveying high-temperature gases, corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans must be selected. 3. Where three or more high-pressure centrifugal fans are available in the performance table for corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans, priority should be given to those with high efficiency, fewer stages and a wide adjustment range. Naturally, it is necessary to conduct a comparative study of their advantages and disadvantages before making a decision. 4. If the impeller diameter of the selected corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan is significantly larger than that of the original fan, it is essential to calculate the motor’s starting time and torque to ensure the original motor shaft, bearings and mounting bracket can be used. The critical speed of the fan’s original components and shaft must also be considered. Corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans are widely used in the food machinery industry. 5. When selecting a corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan, if the motor output is 75 kW or below, there is no need to install a dedicated start-up valve. However, when using a centrifugal fan to exhaust high-temperature flue gas or air from a boiler, a start-up valve must be installed to prevent overload during low-temperature operation. 6. When selecting a corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan, please avoid operating them in parallel or series. If unavoidable, select high-pressure centrifugal fans of the same model and performance for operation. When using a series connection, a specific duct connection is required between the first-stage and second-stage corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans. 7. When selecting new corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans, it is essential to consider maximising the utilisation of existing equipment. This applies to on-site production, installation and safe operation. 8. In cases where noise reduction is required for a corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan system, select high-efficiency, high-pressure centrifugal fans with low impeller peripheral speeds as a priority. Based on the propagation patterns of the generated noise and vibration, the system must operate at the point of maximum efficiency. Depending on the ventilation system, appropriate noise and vibration reduction measures must be implemented. Vibration isolation measures for corrosion-resistant centrifugal fans and motors can generally be based on the use of vibration isolators such as spring isolators and rubber isolators. Furthermore, selection can be made from the range of models provided by the fan manufacturer based on parameters such as air pressure, air volume, operating temperature, direction of rotation, connection type, motor output and speed.
