Regardless of the type of fan designed specifically for coating machines, necessary surface treatment must be carried out following overall assembly and trial operation. As part of the process for fans designed specifically for coating machines, surface treatment simply refers to cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment. The specific operational procedures vary depending on the characteristics of the fan in question. Centrifugal induction fans and axial fans exhibit distinct similarities and differences in this regard. Whether dealing with induction fans or axial fans designed for coating machines, the surface cleaning procedure remains consistent. It must follow the steps of removing weld spatter, grinding and polishing, for which a grinder may be utilised. Only a portion of these specialised fans require this process. Polishing the base can sometimes yield an aesthetically pleasing finish. Apart from the identical cleaning process, the spraying procedures for some centrifugal fans and axial fans are also the same. Generally, spray-applied coatings can be used; however, whilst oil-based coatings were previously used, due to the implementation of strict environmental protection regulations in China, these have become not only expensive but have also been replaced by water-based coatings. This requires a high level of technical expertise. Regarding the differences in surface treatment between induction draft fans and axial fans for coating machines, the first consideration is the choice of coating. The medium-temperature range for these fans is divided into ambient and high-temperature categories, each requiring different coatings. Induction draft fans and axial fans for coating machines use the same coating; however, for high-temperature induction draft fans, heat-resistant coatings must be used. The aim is to ensure that the anti-corrosion coating on the surface of induction sample machines for coating machine-specific fans maintains excellent anti-corrosion performance and aesthetic appeal, whilst preventing degradation, discolouration or peeling during continuous high-temperature operation. This also helps to avoid thermal shock. Furthermore, the differences in surface treatment between coating machine-specific fans and Akigofu are also reflected in the coating process. Coating machine-specific fans are large in size and heavy, so spray painting is often used; however, axial fans are small in size and have a regular appearance, so they can be spray-painted and baked.
