To ensure the safety of axial-flow explosion-proof fans during trial operation, it is necessary to commission and conduct a trial run of the fire-suppression axial-flow explosion-proof fan prior to use. What should be noted and how should preparations be made before use? The details are as follows: Installation Notes: 1. Direction Selection: The performance of axial-flow explosion-proof fans differs from that of standard fans. There are strict requirements regarding the orientation of the unit. The primary azimuth of the site’s topography is used to determine the equipment’s orientation. In the event of a fire, the fan’s effectiveness will be maximised, allowing for the greatest possible continuous expansion at the onset of the fire. 2. Verification of Installation. Once the axial flow explosion-proof fan is in place, verify the tightness of the main fixing points and reinforce them promptly. In the event of a fire, if the axial flow explosion-proof fan is not securely fixed, it may fall directly, rendering it ineffective for fire suppression. 3. Install protective measures. This is a critical consideration if any part of the axial flow explosion-proof fan is exposed to the outdoors. Rainwater may fall onto the fan and, through circulation, affect internal components. In the event of a fire, this could compromise the fan’s performance. When installing the unit, it is essential to implement rain protection measures. Precautions regarding commissioning: (1) Prior to the trial run of the axial flow explosion-proof fan, please confirm that the fixed connection components are not loose, and that the type and quantity of lubricant applied to all lubricated parts meet the requirements specified in the equipment technical documentation. (2) Any parts requiring pre-lubrication must be lubricated in advance in accordance with the regulations. (3) The direction of rotation of the drive motor must be the same as that of the pump. (4) Prior to the trial run of the axial flow explosion-proof fan, preheat the pump body to ensure a uniform temperature rise, ensuring that the hourly temperature increase does not exceed 50°C. The external surface of the high-pressure air supply and the process piping at the working oil inlet must not exceed 40°C. By commissioning the fire-fighting axial flow explosion-proof fan, selecting suitable equipment, and inspecting and maintaining the axial flow explosion-proof fan within the normal timeframe, operational efficiency can be enhanced.
