Effects of Coating Machine-Specific Fans

1. Start the coating machine-specific fan at full voltage or reduced voltage; however, the full-voltage starting current is 5 to 7 times the rated current. Please note that the starting torque at low voltage is proportional to the square of the voltage. If capacity is insufficient, start at a reduced voltage. During testing, carefully review the product manual for the coating machine-specific fan to verify that the wiring diagram is correct. Confirm that the fan’s voltage meets requirements, check for phase imbalance or phase loss in the power supply, and ensure the distribution components meet specifications. Conduct testing with at least two people. One person is responsible for power supply, while the other monitors the fan’s operation. Stop immediately if any abnormalities are detected. First, verify that the rotation direction is correct. Once the fan begins operation, check whether the operating current is stable. If the current exceeds the rated value, stop the fan within 5 minutes to investigate and confirm the cause of the abnormality. Resume operation only after confirming that the fan is functioning normally. 2.2. Test the coating machine-specific fan at two speeds. Start slowly and verify that the rotation direction is correct. Start the fan only after it has come to a complete stop to prevent high-speed reversal, which could cause switch malfunctions or movement obstructions. At normal speed, the fan’s input current should be within normal limits, and the operating current must not exceed the rated current. If the current exceeds the rated value, verify that the power supply voltage is normal. The motor manufactured by the wind turbine factory for the centrifugal fan requires specific conditions to start the coating machine-specific fan and the pneumatic cabinet. Opening the intake port poses a risk of motor damage. To properly test the fan, connect the intake or discharge piping and open the valve after slow operation. At this point, provided the necessary conditions are met, the fan will operate.
