Today, medium- and high-pressure centrifugal fans are highly effective and are used in various fields such as ventilation, dust removal, and cooling. However, to ensure the equipment’s effectiveness, several basic requirements must be met. Since the operation of the machine relies primarily on the motor, it is essential to understand these requirements. What are the requirements for the motor? First, the design basis for the rated performance of the medium- and high-pressure centrifugal fan motor must be at least 120% of the required machine’s specifications. When the motor operates at full load, the frequency will increase by 5% and the voltage by 10%. The motor will remain undamaged and maintain normal operation. Second, during startup at the rated operating voltage, the motor current must be maintained within the specified range. When using multi-phase motors in functional equipment, the phase sequence must be marked on the nameplate of the junction box. The direction of rotation must be indicated by an arrow. Additionally, the motor’s design, manufacture, and performance must comply with relevant standards. Depending on the application, different types of motors—such as AC, asynchronous, or air-cooled motors—are used in medium- and high-pressure centrifugal fan units. However, the motor insulation class must be Class F, the temperature rise must meet Class B standards, and the protection rating must be IP54. The power supply voltage is 380V ±10%, 50 Hz. The above outlines the motor requirements for medium- and high-pressure centrifugal fans. Since the motor’s performance indirectly ensures the machine’s operational reliability, it is essential to verify that the motor meets these requirements before purchasing the equipment. Of course, regardless of the type of machine or accessory, regular inspections and maintenance are necessary during operation to prevent issues and extend the equipment’s service life.
