What Are the Key Points of Axial-Flow Mine Fans?

Axial-flow mine fans primarily consist of an air inlet, an air valve, a propeller, a motor, and an air outlet. The performance of axial-flow mine fans varies under different conditions. There are many methods for commissioning axial-flow mine fans. 1. Although the fan can be started at full voltage or driven at low voltage, please note that the starting current at full voltage is approximately 5 to 7 times the rated current, and the starting torque at low voltage is proportional to the square of the voltage. If system capacity is insufficient, a reduced-voltage start must be used. 2. During commissioning, carefully read the product manual to verify that the wiring method matches the wiring diagram. Carefully confirm that the operating voltage supplied to the axial-flow mining fan meets the requirements, that there is no phase deviation in the power supply, and that the capacity of the distribution panel meets the requirements. 3. During trial operation, at least two people are required: one to control the power supply and another to observe the fan’s operation. If any abnormalities are detected, stop the machine and inspect it. Verify that the direction of rotation is correct. After the centrifugal fan begins rotating, check whether the operating currents in each phase are balanced and whether they exceed the rated current. If any abnormalities are found, stop the machine to investigate. After running for 5 minutes, stop the machine to check for abnormalities; once no abnormalities are confirmed, restore power. 4. During two-speed trial operation, start at low speed and verify that the rotation direction is correct. When starting at high speed, wait until the axial-flow mining fan has come to a complete stop before restarting to avoid damage caused by switch drag or high-speed reverse rotation of the motor. 5. After reaching normal speed, measure the input current of the axial-flow mining fan to ensure it is within normal limits, and verify that the operating current does not exceed the rated current. If the operating current exceeds the rated current, verify that the supply voltage is normal. 6. The required motor output refers to the maximum output needed when the air inlet is fully open during operation. Operating with the air inlet fully open may result in motor damage. During trial operation, close the valves on the inlet and outlet ducts of the axial-flow mine fan, and open them gradually after startup until the required operating conditions are met. Monitor the operating current of the axial-flow mine fan to ensure it does not exceed the rated current.
