Working Principle and Features
Centrifugal fans, as the name suggests, are mechanical devices that utilize centrifugal force to draw gas (specifically air in this context) into the inlet. The gas is accelerated by a high-speed rotating impeller before being discharged through the outlet. Their operating principle is simple yet highly efficient: when the motor drives the impeller to rotate, air is drawn in and accelerated tangentially along the impeller blades. It is then flung toward the casing and expelled. During this process, the air gains significant dynamic and static pressure, enabling the transportation of gas.

Centrifugal fans feature high airflow, stable pressure, low noise, and smooth operation, making them ideal for ventilation, screening, and drying processes in the grain processing industry.

Application in Grain Screening
Centrifugal fans are extensively used for grain screening and grading during processing. By adjusting fan speed and airflow intensity, the suspension state of grain particles within the airflow can be precisely controlled, enabling effective separation of particles with different sizes and densities.

This technology not only enhances the precision and efficiency of grain screening but also significantly reduces the labor costs and intensity associated with manual sorting.

Application in Grain Storage Ventilation
Grain storage ventilation is a critical component of the grain preservation process. Centrifugal fans, with their powerful ventilation capacity and stable operational performance, have become the preferred equipment for grain storage ventilation. By strategically arranging fans and ventilation ducts, effective circulation and renewal of air within the storage silo can be achieved. This reduces grain humidity and temperature, preventing mold growth, spoilage, and insect infestation.

Additionally, centrifugal fans can be integrated with smart devices such as temperature and humidity sensors to enable intelligent monitoring and automatic regulation of grain storage environments.

Applications in Grain Drying
After harvest, some grain may retain excess moisture due to weather or equipment limitations. High-moisture grain is prone to mold and spoilage, compromising storage and quality. Centrifugal fans are employed for grain drying. By introducing dry air and leveraging the fan's powerful ventilation capacity, dry air is uniformly distributed throughout the grain pile, accelerating the evaporation and removal of internal moisture.

After undergoing centrifugal fan drying, the moisture content of the grain was significantly reduced, meeting the requirements for storage and processing. Simultaneously, the use of centrifugal fans lowered drying costs and time while enhancing the grain's storage stability and quality.

Fan Selection and Installation When selecting centrifugal fans, comprehensive consideration must be given to factors such as silo size, ventilation requirements, grain type, and climatic conditions. Generally, models with moderate airflow, stable pressure, low noise, and high energy efficiency should be chosen.
