Applications in Desulfurization and Denitrification Systems
1. Desulfurization Systems In desulfurization systems, centrifugal fans are primarily used to transport flue gas into the desulfurization tower while ensuring uniform distribution of the gas within the tower. Within the desulfurization tower, the flue gas undergoes a chemical reaction with the desulfurization agent (such as limestone slurry), absorbing sulfur dioxide (SO₂) from the flue gas. By adjusting the rotational speed and flow rate, the centrifugal fan ensures the residence time of the flue gas within the tower, thereby enhancing desulfurization efficiency.

2. DeNOx System
In the DeNOx system, centrifugal fans also play a crucial role. The DeNOx process typically employs Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, where ammonia (NH₃) is injected as a reducing agent. Under the action of a catalyst, it reacts with nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the flue gas to form nitrogen gas (N₂) and water (H₂O). Centrifugal fans are responsible for conveying flue gas into the denitrification reactor and ensuring thorough mixing between the flue gas and the reducing agent, thereby enhancing denitrification efficiency.

Technical Advantages in Desulfurization and Denitrification Systems
1. High Efficiency and Stability Centrifugal fans offer a wide range of flow and pressure regulation, meeting the demands of desulfurization and denitrification systems under varying operating conditions. Their stable and reliable operation ensures long-term system stability, providing continuous power support throughout the entire flue gas treatment process. 2. Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection By optimizing operating parameters such as speed and flow rate, centrifugal fans reduce energy consumption and enhance overall system efficiency. Furthermore, these fans generate no additional pollutants during operation, meeting environmental standards and supporting enterprises in achieving green production.

3. Superior Corrosion Resistance During desulfurization and denitrification processes, flue gas often contains corrosive substances such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and potentially acidic gases. Centrifugal fans are constructed from corrosion-resistant materials like stainless steel and fiberglass-reinforced plastic, effectively withstanding erosion from these corrosive agents. This extends equipment lifespan and reduces maintenance downtime caused by corrosion.
4. High Maintenance Convenience Centrifugal fans are designed with ease of maintenance in mind, typically featuring removable components and easily accessible maintenance points. This enables swift repairs or part replacements when needed, minimizing downtime and boosting production efficiency. Additionally, some advanced centrifugal fans incorporate intelligent monitoring systems that track real-time operational status, provide early warnings of potential failures, and deliver data support for preventive maintenance.

Practical Application Case
Taking a steel coking project as an example, this project adopted the "Rotary Spray Semi-Dry (Calcium Method) Desulfurization + Integrated Dust Removal and Denitrification" technology. In this technology, centrifugal fans are widely used in the desulfurization and denitrification system.

By precisely controlling the rotational speed and flow rate of the centrifugal fan, uniform distribution and thorough reaction of flue gas within the desulfurization tower and denitrification reactor are achieved, significantly enhancing desulfurization and denitrification efficiency. Simultaneously, the project optimizes centrifugal fan selection and configuration to reduce system operating costs, delivering a win-win outcome for both economic and environmental benefits.

Summary
As a critical component within desulfurization and denitrification systems, the stability and high efficiency of centrifugal fans are paramount to the overall operational effectiveness of the system. With increasingly stringent environmental regulations and continuous advancements in industrial production technology, the application prospects for centrifugal fans in the desulfurization and denitrification industry will become even broader. We believe that in future development, centrifugal fans will continue to play a vital role, making greater contributions to environmental protection and industrial production.
