When to Use Explosion-Proof Axial Flow Fans

Structural Features of Explosion-Proof Axial Flow Fans

The fan primarily consists of an impeller, casing, inlet collector, guide vanes, and motor. The impeller blades are welded to the hub using a twisted plate design with meridional acceleration. After dynamic balancing inspection and overspeed testing, it delivers excellent aerodynamic performance. The casing is circular and integrated with a collector featuring sound-absorbing functionality. The outlet is equipped with guide vanes, ensuring even airflow distribution and stable pressure.

Applications

Explosion-proof axial flow fans are widely used for ventilation and high-temperature smoke extraction in tunnels, underground garages, civil buildings, metallurgical plants, factories, mines, and similar environments. The gas temperature conveyed by explosion-proof axial flow fans must not exceed 80°C. Explosion-proof mixed-flow fans can be employed in special environments.

Function Selection for Explosion-Proof Axial Fans: Fan functions are detailed in the performance table. All listed functions operate within the high-efficiency range and are categorized into five performance curves based on flow rate. Selection should be based on the performance table. The total pressure deviation of factory-qualified products shall not exceed 5% at rated flow rate. The performance selection table reflects standard conditions; technical documentation or order specifications shall adhere to standard conditions. Standard conditions: Atmospheric pressure = 101325 Pa, t = 20°C, relative humidity = 50% air conditions.

When actual operating conditions deviate from the above formula, explosion-proof axial flow fan equipment installation methods may be vertical or horizontal. For example, specify vertical installation when ordering, and indicate special requirements for functional parameters such as flow rate, pressure equipment standards, etc.
