Installation Methods for No. 5 High-Pressure Centrifugal Fan The No. 5 high-pressure centrifugal fan can be installed in direct-coupled (standard), coupling-type, or pulley-type configurations. 1. Installation of the No. 5 high-pressure centrifugal fan is essentially identical to that of a direct-coupled centrifugal pump. 2. For this type of fan, the fan shaft and motor shaft are separate, connected via pulleys and drive belts. During operation, rotational force from the motor is transmitted through the pulleys and belts to the fan shaft, driving the centrifugal impeller. Therefore, the critical installation step is ensuring parallel alignment of both shafts. Basic Positioning 1. Position the No. 5 high-pressure centrifugal fan and rolling bearing housing. Place shims, thread anchor bolts, remove nuts, and level/align the foundation surface without pouring concrete. 2. Place the motor on the foundation position. Place shims, thread anchor bolts, remove nuts, and level/align the foundation surface without pouring concrete. ③ Place a level on the fan shaft pulley and motor shaft pulley to check shaft levelness (adjust shims to achieve levelness). ④ Check the flatness of both shafts. Stretch a chalk line and measure the distances from points A, B, E, and D to the chalk line. Adjust the position of the fan (or motor) until the distances from points A, B, C, and D are equal. ⑤ Fill the anchor bolt holes for the fan and motor with concrete, compact and level it. After the concrete has fully cured, perform precise floor leveling and tighten the anchor bolts. ⑥ Weld each set of shims in place and smooth the foundation with mixed mortar.
