Performance Characteristics of Small High-Temperature Resistant Blowers

1

Small high-temperature resistant blowers are essentially variable-flow, constant-pressure devices. At a given speed, the theoretical pressure-flow curve of a small high-temperature resistant blower becomes linear, while the actual characteristic curve bends due to internal losses. The pressure generated by small high-temperature resistant blowers is significantly affected by changes in the temperature and density of the intake air. When the air intake volume is fixed, higher intake air temperature (lower air density) results in reduced pressure generation. For a given pressure-flow characteristic curve, corresponding power-flow characteristic curves exist. At a fixed operating speed, the required power increases as the intake air temperature decreases for a given flow rate.
