The Type 926 high-pressure centrifugal fan is one of the critical pieces of equipment at power stations.

If the Type 926 high-pressure centrifugal fan malfunctions, the output of the generator set will decrease, leading to shutdown and potentially causing a power outage.

However, vibration is a common and influential issue in the operation of power station fans.

Therefore, when such situations arise, prompt and accurate judgment is essential to develop countermeasures.

This analysis focuses on vibration phenomena caused by rolling bearing abnormalities in the 926-type high-pressure centrifugal fan.

Two primary causes exist: vibration due to improper bearing assembly and vibration resulting from surface damage to the rolling bearings.

First, improper assembly of centrifugal bearings occurs when shaft journal and shoulder flange processing fails to meet standards, resulting in journal bending, bearing installation tilt, or misalignment of the inner ring after assembly.

The vibration characteristics manifest as elevated axial vibration values, with vibration frequency matching rotational speed. Vibration issues stemming from surface damage to the rolling bearings of the 926 high-pressure centrifugal fan also arise from multiple causes.

For instance, poor product quality, inadequate lubrication, foreign object intrusion, or substandard clearance between the bearing plate and shaft can lead to rolling bearing damage through wear, rust, spalling, or material loss.

In such cases, the vibration amplitude of the Model 926 high-pressure centrifugal fan may increase in any direction—horizontal, vertical, or axial.

To accurately diagnose vibration, spectrum analysis is essential for correctly identifying the precise location and severity of bearing damage.

Generally, vibration phenomena in the Type 926 high-pressure centrifugal fan can arise from various causes. Therefore, understanding the fundamental characteristics and causes of different vibrations, analyzing them based on operational experience, and pinpointing the root cause are necessary steps to enhance the safety and reliability of the Type 926 high-pressure centrifugal fan.
