The selection of backward-curved stainless steel centrifugal fans directly impacts subsequent operational performance and investment costs, making it a critical consideration. Therefore, when selecting a model, it is essential to fully understand the relevant factors to ensure that the chosen backward-curved stainless steel centrifugal fan meets normal operational requirements. The following outlines the key factors that should be considered. First, key control parameters of the selected equipment must be identified, including airflow, total pressure, efficiency, specific sound pressure level, speed, and motor output. When selecting a backward-curved stainless steel centrifugal fan, models can be categorized into three pressure levels. For example, units exceeding 3,000 Pa are classified as high-pressure units, those below 1,000 Pa as low-pressure units, and those in between as medium-pressure units. Users should select the appropriate pressure level based on actual requirements and pay close attention to various parameters. Additionally, considering the physical and chemical properties of the conveyed gas as well as various applications, different types of backward-curved stainless steel centrifugal fans should be selected. Of course, air leakage losses in the duct system and calculation errors must also be taken into account. When using backward-curved stainless steel centrifugal fan units, it is important to recognize that there will be a certain deviation between the actual airflow and pressure. Typically, equipment with an airflow of 1.05–1.1 times and a pressure of 1.10–1.15 times the design values can be selected. It is not recommended to select units with excessively high safety margins. Otherwise, the unit will operate in a low-efficiency range for extended periods. In addition to the above, the actual operating environment and conditions of the backward-curved stainless steel centrifugal fan unit must also be considered. If the gas temperature and atmospheric pressure within the installation environment differ from standard conditions, the performance of the backward-curved stainless steel centrifugal fan unit must be adjusted accordingly.
