In actual manufacturing processes, vibration levels are a key factor in assessing the quality of explosion-proof axial fans. This is because vibration levels directly affect the service life of these fans. Since there are many factors that influence vibration—such as the dynamic balance accuracy grade of the propeller—the unit generally operates at a relatively high speed during operation. Additionally, the propeller’s speed, installation accuracy, and the structural strength of the explosion-proof axial fan also exert varying influences. High vibration levels can adversely affect the service life of explosion-proof axial fans; therefore, it is essential to control vibration levels within an appropriate range during the manufacturing process. Consequently, to achieve this, it is necessary to test the dynamic balance of the propeller and the overall vibration of the mechanical assembly. During impeller manufacturing, the propeller’s center of gravity inevitably shifts due to various factors. The dynamic balancing of an explosion-proof axial fan’s propeller essentially involves adding a specific amount of counterweight to bring the propeller’s center of gravity closer to its rotational center. Of course, impeller dynamic balancing is merely one of several relevant factors. Vibration levels are also influenced by installation conditions. If installation accuracy is low, the vibration levels of the explosion-proof axial fan will be excessively high. Failure to perform commissioning within a reasonable timeframe will affect performance. Given this situation, it is necessary to commission the explosion-proof axial fan within a reasonable timeframe after installation. Typically, this is determined based on the horizontal, vertical, and axial vibration values of the centrifugal bearings. If these vibration values are within acceptable limits, the explosion-proof axial fan unit may be considered ready for shipment from the factory.
