To better understand the performance of high-temperature-resistant boiler centrifugal fans, it is essential to understand the specific meanings of their key performance parameters. Below, we will explain some important parameters of high-temperature-resistant boiler centrifugal fans. Let’s take a look at the specific details. First, let’s examine the current status of standard inlet conditions. In fact, the so-called standard inlet conditions primarily refer to the inlet of the high-temperature boiler centrifugal fan, where the air pressure is standard atmospheric pressure, the temperature is 20°C, the relative humidity is 80%, and the air density is 1.2 kg/cm³. Second, for high-temperature boiler centrifugal fans, the three parameters of static pressure, dynamic pressure, and total pressure are also very important. As you may know, the working principle of this device is as follows: air enters the central region of the impeller, is pushed to the outer edge of the impeller by centrifugal force, and then, under the influence of the airflow, passes sequentially through the blades and the volute. During this process, part of the dynamic pressure is converted into static pressure, and the air is discharged through the outlet. From the above, it is clear that during gas flow, certain losses are inevitable, including friction losses and vortex losses. However, the total energy of the fluid—the sum of potential energy and kinetic energy—remains constant. The total pressure of a high-temperature-resistant boiler centrifugal fan is the sum of static pressure and dynamic pressure. Static pressure refers to the force per unit area in all directions. So, how should we understand dynamic pressure? In fact, dynamic pressure primarily refers to the pressure represented by the kinetic energy of the gas at the outlet support surface of the equipment. In fact, the total pressure of a centrifugal fan equals the sum of the pressure drop within the air handling unit, the residual pressure outside the unit, and the dynamic pressure. It is important to note that during operation, the ductwork upstream of the inlet of the high-temperature boiler centrifugal fan constitutes the suction section, where the static pressure is typically negative. The outlet duct constitutes the supply section, where the static pressure is positive.
