Different Motor Housing Types in Industrial Duct Fans and Their Applications

There are many methods for controlling the airflow of industrial duct fans; one of the most economical and effective methods is the use of system dampers. A system damper can essentially be viewed as a flow restrictor. The primary reasons for restricting airflow are pressure and energy losses, as well as noise, at specific points within the ventilation system. Additionally, adjusting the voltage of industrial duct fans is an effective method to maximize their efficiency. When connected to a transformer, the fan motor receives a "clean" sinusoidal power input, which determines the motor’s output voltage. Furthermore, the voltage is not affected by electromagnetic noise or other harmonics. When selecting this method, we also find that its lower costs, weight, and required installation space are all reasonable. It can be said that its main advantages are low cost, light weight, and minimal space requirements. Furthermore, industrial motors typically lack voltage control capabilities, and overheating generally depends on the type of industrial duct fan. Alternatively, we can also choose to integrate the electrical system with the motor. Although this inverter is somewhat complicated to handle, it can be successfully applied to the control of multi-speed, stepless industrial duct fans. This not only saves energy but also reduces operating noise. For users, this control method has reasonable maintenance requirements in practical applications. It not only has low maintenance costs but also features standard overcurrent protection.
