I don’t know if you’ve heard of stainless steel industrial fans. Essentially, this equipment can be regarded as a variable-flow, constant-pressure device. In fact, the operating principle of a stainless steel industrial fan is essentially the same as that of a turbocharger. However, during operation, because the gas flow rate is relatively low, pressure changes are not significant. Therefore, when using stainless steel industrial fans, it is generally not necessary to consider changes in the specific volume of the gas. In other words, the gas can be treated directly as an incompressible fluid. When the rotational speed is constant, the theoretical pressure-flow curve of the equipment should be a straight line. However, the actual characteristic curve is curved due to certain losses. Users of these stainless steel industrial fans should be aware that the pressure generated by the equipment is significantly affected by changes in inlet gas temperature and density. When the inlet gas volume is constant, the pressure variation caused by changes in gas temperature is relatively small. In other words, the pressure-flow characteristic curve corresponds to the power-flow characteristic curve. Therefore, if the stainless steel industrial fan is operated at a constant speed with a given flow rate, the required power will increase as the inlet gas temperature decreases. So, what are the applications of these stainless steel industrial fans? Based on current usage, they are widely employed in industrial sectors such as factories, mines, and tunnels for ventilation, dust removal, and cooling; they also serve as ventilation and exhaust equipment for boilers and industrial furnaces.
