Anyone who has used explosion-proof, high-temperature-resistant fans knows that we often need to perform a series of inspections and verifications before starting them up. Only when no abnormalities are detected can we turn on the fan and put it into operation. So, do you know what the main inspection and verification tasks are? Let’s take a look at the specifics. First, check whether the power supply and the circuit to be connected meet the operational requirements, and whether the circuit connections are correct. Second, check whether there is any condensation or dust inside the explosion-proof high-temperature fan or within the ductwork. If present, it should be cleaned promptly to prevent safety incidents. Third, confirm that the fan base and accessories are securely fastened. Fourth, check whether the bearings are properly lubricated. If cooling is required, we must also verify in advance that the cooling water supply is functioning normally. Fifth, manually rotate the shaft of the explosion-proof, high-temperature fan to ensure it rotates smoothly without any abnormalities. Sixth, rotate the drive motor to verify that its rotation direction matches that of the explosion-proof, high-temperature fan equipment, and ensure there are no abnormalities on the drive motor side. If the explosion-proof, high-temperature fan is equipped with a transmission system, ensure that the V-belts are properly installed. In summary, the fan may only be started after confirming that all these checks are satisfactory. Generally, before using explosion-proof, high-temperature-resistant fan equipment, operators must undergo professional training to ensure they can: respond appropriately if the fan suddenly malfunctions during operation. They must promptly take corrective measures in accordance with the supervisor’s instructions.
