Installation Guidelines for Explosion-Proof Centrifugal Fans

Explosion-proof centrifugal fans are now widely used. As high-quality explosion-proof centrifugal fan products, what points should be noted when installing them? Cabinet centrifugal fans. Today, I have gathered some information online to share with everyone. 1. Explosion-proof centrifugal fans must be placed directly on the foundation, with a pair of shims positioned diagonally to ensure levelness. 2. In cases where explosion-proof centrifugal fans are assembled on-site, the cut surfaces of the base must be adequately protected to prevent rusting or damage during operation. When placing the base on the foundation, a pair of diagonal shims must be used to ensure the base is level. 3. When assembling the main shaft and bearing sleeves, please verify in accordance with the machine’s technical documentation. The interference fit between the bearing cover and the bearing sleeve must be 0.03–0.04 mm (measured between the outer diameter of the bearing sleeve and the inner diameter of the bearing). 4. The bearing housing and the base of the cabinet-type explosion-proof centrifugal fan must be securely connected, with longitudinal runout not exceeding 0.2/1000. Use a spirit level to measure the main shaft. The degree of misalignment must not exceed 0.3/1000. Use a spirit level to check for horizontal cracks in the bearing plates. 5. For explosion-proof centrifugal fans assembled with rolling bearings, if the bearing bores of the two bearing housings are misaligned after the rotor has been installed, the rotor may rotate freely. 6. Prior to grinding the bearing sleeves, the shaft of the rotor and the housing shaft must be rectified. Concurrently, the clearance between the impeller and the inlet, and the clearance between the main shaft and the bearing bore on the rear of the housing, must be adjusted to meet the requirements of the equipment technical documentation. The clearance must not exceed 0.05 mm, and the misalignment must not exceed 0.2/1000. 7. When assembling the casing, its position must be aligned with the rotating shaft. The axial and radial clearances between the propeller inlet and the casing inlet must be adjusted to fall within the range specified in the equipment technical documentation. At the same time, please ensure that the anchor bolts are securely tightened. If no clearance values are specified in the equipment technical documentation, the axial clearance must be 1/100 of the propeller’s outer diameter, whilst the radial clearance must be evenly distributed and range from 1.5/1000 to 3/1000. When adjusting the propeller’s outer diameter (minimum or maximum values), please minimise the clearance values as much as possible to improve the efficiency of the explosion-proof centrifugal fan.
