How Should Centrifugal Corrosion-Resistant Fans Be Installed?

If each boiler is equipped with a centrifugal corrosion-resistant fan, the fan must be located as close as possible to the boiler outlet. If a dust collector is present, the centrifugal corrosion-resistant fan must be positioned as close as possible to it. The dust collector’s outlet can help shorten the flue gas ductwork.
When centrifugal corrosion-resistant fans are centrally configured to serve multiple boilers, the suction forces of each boiler must be balanced. These fans are generally installed in an auxiliary room at the rear of the boiler room for ease of operation and maintenance; however, this arrangement requires a large area and involves higher equipment costs. Centrifugal corrosion-resistant fans can also be placed on the ground near the rear wall of an environmentally friendly boiler room located below the main boiler room.
Centrifugal corrosion-resistant fans can be installed outdoors, but they require better protection against rain, corrosion, and thermal insulation.
When installing a dust collector in the boiler room, an induction draft fan must be installed downstream of the dust collector based on the flue gas flow rate to reduce wear on the casing and blades of the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan caused by the flue gas. There are three methods for installing the dust collector and the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan. One method is to place all equipment inside the boiler room. Although this facilitates equipment management and maintenance, it occupies a large area and increases the cost of the boiler room. Install the dust collector outdoors and the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan in the boiler room, routing the flue gas from the dust collector’s outlet back to the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan unit in the boiler room. Another option is to install both the dust collector and the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan outdoors.
The outlet for the bearing cooling water of the induced draft fan should use an open funnel to allow for constant monitoring of the cooling process. Additionally, the cooling water outlet must not be blocked.
If the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan is installed outdoors, the bearing cooling water pipes may freeze; please take anti-freeze measures. The open funnel at the cooling water outlet can be moved indoors, and the outdoor water pipes must be insulated. At the same time, it should be possible to completely drain all water stored in the pipes. The cooling water outlet funnel can also be moved to the side of the metal duct near the flue gas outlet of the corrosion-resistant centrifugal fan. This is because the temperature there is relatively high, preventing freezing.
