01
Fan Startup Preparation
1: Check whether the fan's regulating damper and inlet/outlet dampers are open;
2: Manually rotate the fan to inspect component clearances and check for friction between the impeller and casing;
3: Ensure coupling guards and pulley guards are properly installed;
4: Verify bearing housing oil level meets operational lubrication requirements; 5: For fans with water-cooled bearings, verify adequate cooling water supply; 6: Electrically confirm fan rotation direction while inspecting for leaks (water/oil), vibration, abnormal noises, or unusual odors.

02
Fan Startup
1: Start the fan (monitor for smooth operation);
2: After startup, gradually open the damper to the airflow required for actual production. Monitor the motor operating current during damper opening to prevent overload caused by excessive damper opening;
3: After startup, monitor the fan bearing temperature. Bearing temperature rise must not exceed 40 degrees above the ambient temperature at the site.

03
Inspection During Fan Operation
1: Listen for smooth operation, unusual noises, or friction;
2: Check all anchor bolts for looseness; 3: Check bearing temperature and lubrication status; 4: Verify bearing lubricant cooling water flow is unobstructed and inspect inlet/outlet pipes for temperature differences; 5: Check for lubricant leakage from the bearing housing; 6: Listen for abnormal noises from the bearing housing and bearings during operation, and ensure smooth rotation; 7: Verify stable operating current.

Emergency Stop
1: Detection of severe noise from the fan;
2: Friction between the impeller and casing;
3: Sudden intensification of casing vibration;
4: Continuous bearing temperature rise exceeding permissible limits;
5: Sudden surge in current that does not recover within 2 minutes;
6: Severe oil leakage from the bearing housing;
7: Cooling water interruption lasting over 30 minutes.

Fan Shutdown
1: Reduce load before stopping fan operation;
2: Close cooling water inlet and outlet valves;
3: If conveying hot air, stop the heater first and wait until the fan outlet temperature drops to 40°C before stopping the fan;
4: After fan shutdown, open the drain valve at the bottom of the casing to drain water; simultaneously close the fan inlet and outlet dampers.
