Craftsmanship Shines, Skills Compete | Xinfeng Fan's 8th Workshop Skills Competition

November 17–18, 2025, the roar of machinery intertwined with cheers and applause, composing a stirring anthem of progress—Xin Feng Fanji's Eighth Workshop Skills Competition kicked off with fervor.

This competition, themed "Honing Craftsmanship, Empowering the Future of Enterprises," is not merely a contest of skills but a concentrated showcase of the artisan spirit!

Craftsmanship Shines, Skills Compete  

 Practical skills and theoretical knowledge complement each other. The competition consists of two parts: practical skills and a theoretical written exam. On the afternoon of November 17th, the theoretical written exam portion of the workshop skills competition was conducted. This not only tested the contestants' "craftsmanship" but also their understanding of their work and the company's products. The phrase "well-rounded in both theory and practice" was embodied in this moment.

Following the theoretical written exam, the practical competition commenced. Unlike previous years, this year introduced a new task: fan insulation wrapping. By continually adding new competition events, participants in diverse roles gain opportunities to shine in their own right. The three major tasks—installation, welding, and insulation wrapping—proceeded simultaneously. Like three precision-engineered "skill engines," they drove the contestants' focus and passion.

Welding Competition Zone 

The welding events comprise TIG welding and MIG welding. Contestants wield their torches, sparks flying between the metal and the arc as they trace fluid weld seams across the surface. Under the glare of the arc light, their focused faces and the flying sparks together paint a vivid tableau of "iron and fire."

Assembly Competition Zone 

The assembly project competition zone features separate divisions for men and women. Competitors transform into "mechanical dancers," navigating wind turbine components with tools in hand. The crisp clinking of tightened bolts alternates with the steady ticking of timers as turbine after turbine is brought back to life under their skilled hands.

Insulation Wrapping Zone 

The insulation wrapping station showcased a touch more finesse. Contestants wrapped thermal insulation around the fan casings with precision, their movements gentle yet efficient—as if draping the fans in a layer of "warm armor."

Work Rating

The judges meticulously examined each contestant's entry, scrutinizing every detail—from component compatibility in the assembly tasks, to weld bead quality in the soldering tasks, to the uniformity of the insulation wrapping tasks—pursuing perfection in every aspect. "Skill competitions aren't about speed; they're about precision!"
