Xin Feng Mini Lesson---The Role of Centrifugal Fans in Conveyor Belt Retraction

Currently, many conveying and cleaning devices utilize scrapers, but this method has certain limitations.

Therefore, in structural improvements, high-efficiency airflow drying systems now employ centrifugal fans to meet this requirement.

Let's examine the specifics.

Within the entire system, the centrifugal fan plays a pivotal role, primarily in two aspects:

1.  Supplying high-temperature drying air for transportation and drying, while generating gas flow within the apparatus;

2.  Breaking down large, wet bulk materials into smaller particles through the combined action of the fan blades and high-temperature air drying.

To maximize the centrifugal fan's performance, its structure has been optimized: the distance between rings is set to 20 millimeters, while the clearance between the impeller and rings is maintained within 5 millimeters.

During operation, high-pressure gas flows through the concentric ring labyrinth, facilitating material movement within the labyrinth and meeting leakage reduction requirements.

It should be noted that, as analyzed above, the shape of the blades significantly impacts material drying during centrifugal fan operation.

For instance, designing the curved blade shape to be straight can markedly enhance wear resistance, thereby improving fan performance.

In contrast, the airflow of the improved centrifugal fan has decreased slightly, but this factor is not significant for material handling.

Adding a sealing device between the rear panel and drive shaft prevents material loss, improves the on-site working environment, and reduces transportation costs.

Furthermore, using centrifugal fan equipment helps lower the moisture content of bulk materials and eliminates the need to install scrapers on conveyors.

This not only reduces production costs but also enhances efficiency.
