Widespread Application and Key Advantages of Corrosion-Resistant Explosion-Proof Axial Flow Fans

Widespread Application and Key Advantages of Corrosion-Resistant Explosion-Proof Axial Flow Fans1 (2)During operation, the propeller rotates, drawing gas directly into the impeller through the air inlet. The impeller's thrust increases the gas's kinetic energy, directing it into the guide vanes. The guide vanes convert the deflected airflow into an axial flow while directing the gas into the diffuser. Here, the kinetic energy of the gas is converted into pressure energy before being delivered into the working duct. The blades of corrosion-resistant explosion-proof axial flow fans function similarly to aircraft wings. However, in the latter case, lift acts upward on the wing to support the aircraft's weight. Axial fans, fixed in position, drive the airflow. The cross-section of corrosion-resistant explosion-proof axial fans typically resembles that of an aircraft wing. Blades can be fixed in position or rotate around their longitudinal axis. The angle between blades and airflow, or blade spacing, may be fixed or adjustable. The ability to alter blade angle and spacing constitutes one of the primary advantages of corrosion-resistant explosion-proof axial fans. A smaller blade pitch angle reduces airflow volume, while a larger pitch increases it. Corrosion-resistant explosion-proof axial fans are sometimes referred to as local fans. These are commonly used by enterprises under operational conditions, differing from standard fans. Their motors and blades feature cylindrical shapes, designed for localized ventilation. Installation is straightforward, delivering noticeable ventilation effects with enhanced safety. Airflow can be directed to specific areas via air receivers. Upon startup, the motor current of corrosion-resistant explosion-proof axial fans reaches 5–6 times the rated value, which not only shortens the motor's service life but also consumes excessive electrical energy. During system design, motors are selected with a certain margin. While motor speed is fixed, actual operation sometimes requires low-speed or high-speed execution, necessitating frequency conversion. Frequency converters enable soft motor starts by adjusting input voltage frequency, achieving energy savings and speed regulation while providing protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and overload. Corrosion-resistant and explosion-proof axial flow fans are suitable for ventilation and heat dissipation in metallurgy, chemical processing, light industry, food production, medical equipment, machinery, and civil construction. When the housing is removed, they can also function as free-standing fans. Additionally, installing multiple units in a straight line along a long exhaust duct can increase air pressure within the duct.
