Xin Feng Mini Lesson---How to Determine the Rotation Direction of Stainless Steel Fan Impellers

Stainless steel fan impellers not only incorporate moving blade discs but also form part of the rotor in impulse turbines. They collectively refer to the wheel disc and the rotating blades mounted upon it.

Wear on stainless steel fan impellers relates to abrasive composition, particle size, concentration, shape, impact velocity, impact angle, chemical composition, properties, temperature, and humidity. Uneven airflow within the impeller accelerates wear.

Enhancing the surface quality of stainless steel fan impellers, establishing welded or spray-welded (sprayed) wear-resistant layers on severely worn areas, and adding wear plates to blades represent an economical and reasonable solution.

A T-bolt 2-3 mm smaller than the impeller's inner diameter is threaded through the impeller. Secure the impeller with a T-nut featuring 45-degree tapered surfaces at both ends. Install bearings at both ends of the bolt, placing the bearings on V-shaped irons aligned with the sediment level. Rotate the impeller.

Observe the oscillation between the heavier and lighter sides. Attach small metal plates coated with grease to the lighter side, then observe the balance until properly adjusted. The above method for determining the rotation direction of stainless steel fan impellers is relatively simple and more user-friendly in practice.
